Cabrini Hospital Malvern
Cabrini Health

John Patrick Landscape Architects were engaged to work on a new hospital wing as part of the Cabrini Malvern Hospital redevelopment, which includes, a state-of-the-art medical facility encompassing cardiac, maternity, and oncology facilities. The contemporary architectural design required a cohesive landscape response which complimented the façade and materiality of the new building.

Outdoor spaces, in the form of a private maternity courtyard, rooftop garden and forecourt area were designed by JPLA to create a calm and unique environment promoting patient care.

Deep green textural plantings incorporating Alocasia, Sarcococca and Liriope were selected to offset the terracotta façade of the building. The lush, tropical-feel planting was designed to provide patients with a sense of being surrounded and protected by greenery, promoting well-being and healing.
